How to screenshot on Windows

To take a screenshot on Windows, you have several options:

### Option 1: **Print Screen (PrtScn)**
1. **Full-Screen Screenshot**: Press `PrtScn` (Print Screen) to capture the entire screen. The screenshot is copied to the clipboard. You can paste it into an image editor like Paint by pressing `Ctrl + V`.
2. **Active Window Screenshot**: Press `Alt + PrtScn` to capture only the active window. Again, this is copied to the clipboard.
3. **Specific Area Screenshot (Windows 10/11)**: Press `Windows Key + Shift + S`. This will open the Snip & Sketch tool, allowing you to select a specific area of the screen to capture. The screenshot is copied to the clipboard, and you can paste it into an image editor.

### Option 2: **Snipping Tool / Snip & Sketch**
1. Open the **Snipping Tool** (Windows 7 and 8) or **Snip & Sketch** (Windows 10 and 11).
2. Click on "New" to select an area of the screen.
3. After capturing the screenshot, you can save it or annotate it.

### Option 3: **Windows Key + PrtScn**
1. Press `Windows Key + PrtScn`. This will capture the entire screen and automatically save the screenshot to your **Pictures > Screenshots** folder.

These methods work across most versions of Windows.
